Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Arrival at Leh: Arrive in Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Leh is at a high altitude (around 3,500 meters), so it’s crucial to take the day to acclimatize.
Rest and Relaxation: Spend the day resting at your hotel or guesthouse. Avoid any strenuous activity.
Leh Market (Evening): If you’re feeling up to it, you can take a stroll around Leh Market in the evening. Explore the local shops, cafes, and enjoy a cup of Ladakhi tea.

Day 2: Leh Sightseeing

Leh Palace: Start your day with a visit to Leh Palace, an ancient palace offering panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountain ranges.
Shanti Stupa: Visit the Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist monument that provides fantastic views of Leh and the Indus Valley.
Thiksey Monastery: Visit Thiksey Monastery, one of the most beautiful monasteries in Ladakh, with a large statue of Maitreya Buddha.
Hemis Monastery: Head to Hemis Monastery, known for its rich history and the annual Hemis Festival.

Drive to Nubra Valley: Start your journey to Nubra Valley, crossing the famous Khardung La Pass (5,359 meters), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Stop for photos and to take in the views.
Nubra Valley: Reach Nubra Valley, known for its desert-like landscapes and Bactrian camels.
Hunder Sand Dunes: Explore the Hunder Sand Dunes and enjoy a camel ride on the Bactrian camels.
Diskit Monastery: Visit Diskit Monastery, one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Nubra, with a beautiful statue of Maitreya Buddha.
Overnight in Nubra: Stay overnight at a camp or guesthouse in Nubra Valley.

Drive to Pangong Lake: In the morning, drive to Pangong Lake (approximately 6-7 hours). The journey takes you through picturesque landscapes and remote villages.
Pangong Lake: Upon arrival, enjoy the stunning beauty of Pangong Lake, known for its mesmerizing blue waters and dramatic mountain backdrop. The lake is famous for its changing colors.
Overnight Stay: Stay in lakeside camps or guesthouses near Pangong Lake.

Drive to Tso Moriri: After breakfast, drive towards Tso Moriri Lake in the Changthang Plateau (6-7 hours). The lake is less crowded and offers a more peaceful experience.
Tso Moriri Lake: Arrive at Tso Moriri, a stunning high-altitude lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and meadows. Enjoy the peaceful setting and stunning landscapes.
Overnight Stay at Tso Moriri: Stay in camps or guesthouses near the lake. The remote location provides a serene environment.

Day 6: Tso Moriri Lake to Leh

Morning at Tso Moriri: Spend the morning relaxing by the lake and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Drive Back to Leh: After breakfast, begin the journey back to Leh (about 6-7 hours). On the way, stop at Chumathang Hot Springs for a brief rest and soak in the natural hot springs (optional).
Evening in Leh: Arrive back in Leh in the evening and relax after the long drive. You can take the evening free to explore the local area or rest.

Day 7: Leh to Alchi and Lamayuru

Drive to Alchi: In the morning, drive to Alchi Monastery, famous for its ancient paintings and sculptures. It is one of the most well-preserved monasteries in Ladakh.
Visit Lamayuru Monastery: Continue your drive to Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh. The area around the monastery is known as the “Moonland” because of its unique moon-like terrain.
Return to Leh: In the late afternoon, drive back to Leh (approximately 5-6 hours).
Overnight in Leh: Arrive in Leh for the night.

Khardung La Pass: Drive back to Khardung La Pass for a second visit. Enjoy the breathtaking views and take in the serene atmosphere.
Explore Nubra Valley: If you wish, you can visit Sumur Village in Nubra Valley to explore its ancient monasteries and surrounding landscapes.
Overnight in Leh: Return to Leh for your last night in Ladakh. Relax and enjoy a quiet evening in the town.

Day 9: Departure from Leh

Leh Airport: Depending on your flight time, you may have a few hours to explore Leh or relax before heading to the airport.
Departure: Transfer to Leh Airport for your flight back home.
